Assessment of investments in Cuba
Economic policy and social establishing in Cuba from the implementation of the guidelines approved at the IV Congress of the Communist Party (2011) relies on the laws and resolutions in force for each relevant agency, which favors the application of targeted actions to local development foreign investment and economic growth as an alternative to face the international crisis. That said, it has planned and developed large-scale investments to the national economy, which involve feasibility studies. From the analysis of methodologies developed by the Economy and Planning Ministry (2006), to carry out these studies, weaknesses were detected, which generate difficulties for project evaluation, so that the overall objective of this research is design a procedure for evaluating investments in Cuba, validated its application on an investment of a Cuban company under the Agriculture’s Ministry.
